Seeley G. Mudd Building The Duke University Medical Center Library, founded in 1930, was originally located in the basement of the Davison building. In 1975, it moved to its current location in the Seeley G. Mudd building.

The collection consists of more than 296,491 volumes, including approximately 175 current print only subscriptions and 4,304 electronic journal titles. Additionally, the Library houses an outstanding archival and rare book collection in the History of Medicine.
