Duke University Medical Center Library Virtual Tour
Trent Room
Trent Room Built in honor of Josiah Charles Trent, MD (1914-1948) and his combined love of books and medicine, the Trent Room houses select, rare volumes from Dr. Trent's personal collection.

It also contains a variety of medical artifacts and realia from several other collections including old microscopes, wooden and leather pharmaceutical boxes, infant feeding dishes, apothecary jars, African medical artifacts, and a group of 17th and 18th century ivory anatomical manikins.

Located in room 102 on the Lower Level of the Library, this 1720 period room gives visitors a feeling of stepping back in time into an English country house library.
