New search engine for EBP (EBM) concepts

Andrew Booth from the ScHARR Library at the University of Sheffield, has created a customized Google search engine that searches across one hundred web sites (107) that are associated with the methodology of evidence based clinical practice (EBP). This will replace the Netting the Evidence website that has served as a resource for EBM educators. Examples of sites included in the search are http://www.cebm.utoronto.ca/, http://www.agreecollaboration.org/, http://www.bestbets.org/, http://www.childrensmercy.org/stats/, and http://www.hta.nhsweb.nhs.uk/.

It is useful for finding information about the practice and teaching of EBP concepts. The new search engine has been added to the EBM Subject Guide as a teaching tip.

You can also try it at: Netting the Evidence

how is this really any different than using the search feature for a single site? Doesn't G already allow for something like this? I guess I am not understanding what happened. Did he create his own search engine or is he using rules within google search apps to customize the search to only include 107 websites?
