This touring exhibition, on loan from the National Library of Medicine, highlights women physicians and scientists who have been leaders or made major contributions to the field. An additional exhibit will focus on Duke women in medicine.

  • Women in Duke Medicine (Mezzanine Level)
    Features women "firsts" at Duke and key events over the decades.

  • Women as Healers (Lower Level)
    Historical view of women as healers, from family and community care givers, to women who have influenced the profession.

  • Oral Histories
    Hear Duke women tell their own stories through oral history interviews. You can listen to audioclips with your phone at (919) 674-0003. These audioclips are no longer active.

  • Women in Duke Medicine: An Oral History Exhibit
    Includes online interviews and biographical information created by Duke Medical Center Archives.

  • Tea with Trailblazers
    Will feature a presentation by Dean Nancy Andrews, Duke's first woman Dean of the School of Medicine.
