Historical Images in Medicine (HIM) Database
The Medical Center Library's Historical Images in Medicine (HIM) collections encompass over 3,000 photographs, illustrations, engravings, and bookplates from the history of the health and life sciences.
Images from the History of Medicine
This Website provides access to nearly 60,000 images from the prints and photograph collection of the National Library of Medicine's History of Medicine Division. Collections focus on the social and historical aspects of medicine including portraits, pictures of institutions, caricatures, posters, and graphic art.
Medicine and Madison Avenue
The Medicine and Madison Avenue Project presents images and database information for approximately 600 health-related advertisements printed in newspapers and magazines primarily from the 1910s to the 1950s. Produced by the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History of the Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library at Duke University.
