A journal's impact factor is a measure of how frequently the average article in that journal has been cited in a given year, which can help you determine the relative importance of the journal in its field. This database, available from ISI, the producers of the Web of Science, allows you to create reports for impact factors of specific journals or for a group of journals in a field.
