The Doctor's Bag

A symbol of the medical profession for approximately 200 years, the doctor's bag has assumed a variety of shapes, sizes, and styles. On display in the Lower Lobby are examples of these bags and other instrument and medicine containers which predate them.

Osler Society Meeting

May 29th at 6:00 pm

The Osler Society of North Carolina will meet on Thursday, May 29th in the History of Medicine Reading Room on the Lower Level of the Duke University Medical Center Library.

The Rev. Dr. Sam Wells, Dean of the Duke Chapel, and Dr. Frank Neelon, President of the American Osler Society, will talk on Ethics, Professionalism, and Medicine.
