When the room is not scheduled for a class, it is available for general use. From August 1 through mid-September, non-library departments may book the MLEC classroom no more than two weeks in advance of a proposed event. This is to allow for scheduling of Library orientations and other training sessions offered by the Library at the beginning of the academic year.
At other times, non-library events may be scheduled up to six months in advance, but reservations are guaranteed only for the 3 months prior to the event. Events scheduled more than 3 months in advance may be subject to change. The department will be notified if scheduling changes are necessary.
The Library must be notified at least 48 hours in advance of a scheduled event if the MLEC classroom is not going to be used. Otherwise, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged.
