The Duke University Medical Center Library document delivery system may be accessed at http://www.mclibrary.duke.edu/illiad. Before you can submit requests, you must first complete an online registration form and create a username and password. This will secure future access to information about your requests. It is only necessary to register once.

• Go to New User Registration form
• Enter your first and last name
• Select your ID type
• Enter your E-mail Address
• Enter your Daytime Phone Number
• Enter your Mailing Address
• Select your Status
• Select your Organization
• Choose a Username and Password
• Re-enter the Password
• Click on the Submit Information button

After completing the registration form, you may request materials, check on the status of requests, or change your user information. All requests for materials must be submitted electronically.

Billing

All billing is processed by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. Please ignore any information on our Web pages about Duke fees and charges.

Receiving Materials

Medical Center Library staff process all requests from 8:00 am on Monday through 5:00 pm on Friday. If you submit a large number of requests in one day, they may be processed over several days and the turnaround time may be longer. Our document delivery system offers the convenience of having items delivered electronically to your computer desktop. You will receive an email notification with instructions on how to access requested documents. In order to view, download, or print the full text of these articles, you will need to have the free Adobe Reader installed and configured for your Web browser. Books will be delivered to your address by registered mail.
