AAMC Medical School Faculty
Until May 2002, Faculty Roster representatives updated the Faculty Roster by submitting paper forms to the AAMC. Now, a new Faculty Roster user interface and data infrastructure called FAMOUS (Faculty Administrative Management On-line User System) allows medical schools to enter and edit faculty data online or through batch uploads. To ensure a smooth transition to FAMOUS, medical schools are being moved to FAMOUS in small groups. During this transition period, the AAMC Faculty Roster staff will continue to process paper submissions; to track additions, updates, deactivations, and transfers; to provide medical schools with electronic printouts of their data for verification purposes; and to provide training for Faculty Roster representatives.
