The History of Medicine Collections welcomes monetary gifts to purchase materials and support services and special projects, Books and journals, Artifacts (stamps, book plates, instruments) relating to medicine or Duke University, Selected manuscripts and papers of key figures in health care and medicine at Duke University, and joining the Trent Associates. Duke Medical Center authors are encouraged to donate copies of their publicaitons.

Archives welcomes donations of personal papers and memorabilia documenting people, places, events, and experiences at Duke University Medical Center. Donations of such collections may be accepted in whole or in part, depending on certain criteria, including condition of the material, format, and overall scholarly research value. Many of the Archives Department's holdings come from donations by faculty, administrators, friends and former affiliates of the Medical Center.
