  • Decision analysis
    The application of explicit, quantitative methods that quantify prognoses, treatment effects, and patient values in order to analyze a decision under conditions of uncertainty.

  • Dose response relationship
    A relationship in which change in amount, intensity, or duration of exposure is associated with a change in adverse (either an increase or decrease) or risk of a specified outcome.
